The lighting fixture is connected to a linear actuator which raises the unit up and out or the way for various tank maintenance tasks.

Heating and Cooling

1/3 HP SeaChill Chiller TR20 with 400W SeaChill Heater Insert.

Water Circulation

2 ea Tunze 6305 - positioned at opposing tank sides, pointing toward center, controlled using the AquaSurf.

2 ea Tunze 6055 - positioned between overflows, controlled by AquaSurf to maintain water movement behind rock.

Carbon and Phosphate

I run 2 Deltec FR509 Fluidized Reactors online to one another. The reactors run 24x7 and are fed with a Mag-Drive Supreme 1.9 190 GPH

Reactor 1: Hold 5 cups carbon and is changed monthly

Reactor 2: Contains D-D ROWAPHOS 1000ML and is changed when there is an increase in P04

Water Makeup

RO/DI is made using a SpectraPure MaxCap UHE 100

Water Changes

2.5 gallons per day using 2 SpectraPure LM III units (1 for remove, 1 to add).

Leak Detection

A Waterbug base unit with 2 sensors (2 more coming) is used to detect leaks. 1 sensor is beside the water makeup and salt water mixing tank, a second sensor is near the sump. An additional sensor is to be placed under the tank.
